DEB RABBAI (Co-Artistic Director, Co-Producer, Performer)
is an original member and co-creator of Broadway’s Next H!T Musical.  A native New Yorker, Deb has worked as an actor, improviser, singer and voiceover artist for the last twenty years.  Deb became the Co-Artistic Director of BNHM in 2009 and has proudly witnessed its progress over the last two decades into the hilarious hit it is today.  A graduate of The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC, Deb performs regularly with the national touring improv company Chicago City Limits.  Deb is a highly experienced teacher of improvisation and acting, having worked at NYU, Marymount Manhattan College, The American Comedy Institute, Weist-Barron and Acteen in NYC.  She also spent ten years performing and teaching improvisation with Freestyle Repertory Theatre (TheatreSports New York).  Deb successfully created programs that teach curriculum through improvisation – these programs have been integrated into public schools in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.  Deb has appeared on

ROB SCHIFFMANN (Co-Artistic Director, Co-Producer, Performer)
has worked and toured as a professional improviser and musician for over seventeen years.  As a two-time MAC (Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs) Award winner and the recipient of the 2011 INNY (Improvisation News) Award for Best Improv Coach, Rob’s musical and improv talents are known across the country.  He has taught and directed improv at The School for Film and Television, Weist-Barron, and the Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts School in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. A graduate of Oberlin College, Rob performed regularly with Chicago City Limits before joining Broadway’s Next H!T Musical in 2001.  BNHM’s master improvisers started their success at the famous NYC cabaret club Don’t Tell Mama as well as with the New York Musical Theater Festival.  Rob became Co-Artistic Director in 2009, and continues to perform with the hysterical troupe throughout the country and at their resident theater The Triad in NYC.  Called “sharper than a pound of cheddar cheese” by, Rob has showcased his skills on The Daily Download and The CBS Early Show.  Rob’s musical talent is also evident with the New York based acoustic-pop band, The Hillary Step; he is the main writer, lead singer, guitarist, and Music Director.  For more information, please visit


GREG TRIGGS (Co-Producer, Emcee)
has also performed with Disney's Comedy Warehouse, the Brave New Workshop and Chicago City Limits.  Writer/director for Disney, SeaWorld, the Tribeca Film Festival, the World Science Festival and the NFL.  TV credits include BBC, ABC, TLC, Oxygen, the Discovery Channel and Nickelodeon.  Recent projects include the Doha Tribeca Film Festival and the openings of the Disney Dream and Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa in Honolulu.  Learn more at


ROBERT Z GRANT (Performer)
has been performing and teaching improv in the US and abroad for nearly 15 years, and continues to try to live an improvised life. Other stage credits include The Collective:10, Ionesco’s
The Lesson, and The Amazing TED Show.  Film/TV: Comedy Central’s Inside Amy Schumer, and various independent films. Robert studied acting with Bill Esper at William Esper Studio, dance at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, clown with Christopher Bayes at Juilliard, and improvisation with Ralph Buckley. Robert is probably best known for his anonymity.


has been a member of Chicago City Limits (2008 and 2009 MAC Award Winner, Best Comedy/Improv Group) since 2003, first with its National Touring Company and currently with its Resident Company.  He also performs with the longform improv group Stray, and has appeared in numerous plays, sketch shows and short films in NYC. When she’s not on tour with BNHM, Rachel can be seen performing every week with her musical team Vern at the People’s Improv Theatre. She also hosts the comedy burlesque show Phaedra's Cabaret and is the creative director behind This is Your Life: THE MUSICAL, performing personalized musicals for parties and events. Stand-up and storytelling credits include Gotham Comedy Club (*Story Talks Winner), Broadway Comedy Club, New York Comedy Club, The Metropolitan Room, and the Moth. Rachel has studied at The Second City (Chicago), Upright Citizen’s Brigade (NYC) and The People’s Improv Theatre (NYC). She now coaches musical improv in NYC, teaches theatre to young people at Jersey City Children's Theatre, and leads corporate improv workshops around the country. is an actor, musical improviser & voiceover artist from Astoria, NY. Matt majored in TV Production and double minored in Theatre Studies & Performance at Seton Hall University and can be seen weekly on Musical House Team VERN at the Peoples Improv Theatre as well as in The Improvised Opera, The Improvised Rom-Com & This Is Your Life: The Musical! Film & Television credits include HBO’s Boardwalk Empire, Codes of Conduct & the upcoming film, Freeheld starring Julianne Moore and Ellen Page.


KATIE HAMMOND (Performer),
Katie Hammond, a Michigan native is delighted to be performing with Broadway's Next Hi!T Musical! After earning her BA in Theatre from The College of Wooster in Ohio, she moved to Chicago to study and perform improv at The Second City, iO and The Playground Theatre. She was relocated to Florida to improvise full-time at Disney World, and was also a full-time ensemble member of SAK Comedy lab in downtown Orlando. In NYC she can be found performing with The Story Pirates, writing for her sketch comedy web-series Skittered, and at The P.I.T. every Friday night with her musical house team, VERN. She works in HR, writes musicals and spends any down time with her tiny rescue dog.


BECCA L. McLARTY (Performer)
is an actor, improvisor, singer, and teaching artist. A Pennsylvania native, she has performed in New York City and regionally with companies such as Improvolution, ComedySportz Philadelphia, Arden Theatre, Columbia Stages, Mt. Gretna Theatre and Bakerloo Theatre Project. She can also be seen in the upcoming webseries, Settling Up. Becca holds her MFA in Acting from Brooklyn College and is an adjunct instructor of voice and speech and improvisation at various institutions and studios in the city. She’s delighted to be a part of BNHM!


MEGAN REILLY (Performer)
is an actor, improviser, rapper and New Jersey native. She can be seen off-Broadway and traveling the country with LMAO Improv. She can also be seen bopping around the NYC improv scene with her teams Dancefloor Makeout, This is Your Life! and Robopop. Megan has studied comedy at The Upright Citizens Brigade, The Second City and The Magnet Theater. She received a BFA in Drama from The Tisch School of the Arts at NYU. She is beyond excited to be a part of Broadway's Next Hit Musical!.


ANNIE SCHIFFMANN (Performer, Social Media Manager)
Annie Schiffmann knew she had to be in Broadway’s Next Hit Musical from the first time she saw it and is so pleased to call herself a cast member. In the time between when she first saw the show and when she was cast, she has performed in Chicago City Limits’ Touring Company and Resident Company, been in commercials - oh, and got married and had two kids. She mostly improvises in a corporate setting now - whether hosting an awards night, leading an improv workshop, or performing onstage for your company’s big meeting. She is fearless onstage yet is afraid of the Butterfly Room in the Museum of Natural History. She can be found on Twitter @annieschiff.


is so excited to be performing with Broadway’s Next Hit Musical!  On stage he’s had the good fortune of performing internationally, regionally, and in NYC as well.  He’s acted in multiple short films, sketches and web series, and currently performs musical improv with the group Vern at the Peoples Improv Theater.  Daniel has trained at the Upright Citizens Brigade and Magnet theaters, and is a proud graduate of New York University.


GARY ADLER (Pianist)
served as the musical director for Broadway's Avenue Q for its entire six and a half year run.  Other NYC conducting credits include Urinetown, The Fantasticks, and Next to Normal.  He co-wrote the long-running Off-Broadway musical Altar Boyz, for which he received Drama Desk nominations for both his music and lyrics.  He also served as musical director of Chicago City Limits on and off from 1991 through 1994.  Gary is currently the musical director of The Radio City Christmas Spectacular, and he knows exactly where they keep the camels backstage between performances.


ERIC MARCH (Pianist)
is a playwright/composer whose musicals include Teacher from the Black Lagoon and Other Stories (TheaterWorks USA) The Bone Wars (EST/Sloan Foundation Grant Recipient 2011) and Granola! The Musical (FringeNYC).  Other improvised musical direction credits include Chicago City Limits, as well as groups from the Magnet Theatre and The PIT.  He is a member of the BMI Musical Theater Writing Workshop and Youngblood, the Ensemble Studio Theatre's group for emerging professional playwrights under 30.

Marc T. Engberg is a comedian, actor, and singer living in New York City. He has performed in NYC at Gotham, Caroline's, The Stand, UCBeast, The Bitter End, and The Duplex, in Hollywood at The Comedy Store, in Chicago at the Laugh Factory, and in Stockholm, Sweden at The Big Ben. He has also appeared in several off-Broadway plays including Salome (Black Moon Theatre Co.) and Love's Labour's Lost (MCTC). He holds a BA in Film Studies from UC Berkeley and an MA in Russian, East European, & Eurasian Studies from Stanford University. He speaks French and Russian. His favorite food is sauce.
